1. CONFERENCE ON DANCE MEDICINE IN SLOVENIA
11th – 13th March 2011
Cultural Centre Španski borci, Ljubljana, Slovenia
We are pleased to announce the 1st Conference on Dance Medicine in Slovenia.
The event will provide a venue for meetings and contacts between dance, alternative training methods, and complementary and evidence-based medicinal care to improve the health, training techniques and skills of dancers in all stages of development – from the first steps to the end of their dance career and beyond.
The conference is meant for dancers, dance teachers, dance school and studio directors, medical doctors and physiotherapists, alternative movement and manual method therapists, psychologists etc.
It will provide the dancers and dance teachers with practical and theoretical knowledge important for healthy dance training and the ability to maintain healthy bodies.
The event will moreover give a chance to medical doctors, physiotherapists and complementary therapists to get acquainted with the specifics of dance health and the
ways and techniques to develop support methods for dancers with injuries.
