Cross Connection Ballet is proud to announce the 5th Copenhagen International Choreography Competition, Friday April 6th and Saturday April 7th, 2012.
Our annual Choreography Competition is designed to discover and promote emerging contemporary dance choreographers. The event has become a major attraction for young choreographic talent from all over the world, and the leading choreography competition for contemporary work in Scandinavia. We receive 150 to 200 applications a year and have shown work by artists from more than 45 nations. The competition enables choreographers to present their work in a state of the art facility, before a jury of recognized members of the dance world and has helped launch the careers of many talented young artists.

The competition is primarily focused on contemporary dance works, and is open to professional choreographers and dancers under 45. Interested parties are asked to send a recording of the work they wish to submit, or two recent works if the applicant is applying with a new creation, along with the printed application to:
